Highly praised instructor of voice and vocal pedagogy at Messiah University.  Voice students perform in masterclasses, studio recitals, as well as annual NATS competitions.

Develops and coordinates a private vocal studio of talented high school and adult students.  Students perform in frequent masterclasses and recitals, and compete in annual NATS competitions.

Student Achievement

Past and present students have placed or won local NATS competitions in recent years. Former students have gone on to attend reputable undergraduate and graduate music programs such as Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Peabody Conservatory of Music, New York University (Tisch), Yale University, Pace University (NYC), the Bard College Conservatory of Music, Ithaca College, University of North Texas, Temple University, Hartt School of Music, University of North Carolina (Charlotte), Shenandoah University Conservatory, James Madison University, Furman University and Messiah University.  Former students have performed professionally with national companies, as well as with regional companies and young artist programs such as Theatre Harrisburg, Open Stage Harrisburg, and Songfest at Colburn (LA).

2001 - 2003

Created, designed, and implemented art programs of all disciplines for NYC public schools.  Supervised special projects and grant-funded programs.  Developed educational support materials for both classroom teachers and visiting teaching artists.  Worked with special education and high-risk populations.  Prepared budgets and assisted in the writing of various grants.

2000

Championed all aspects of a small, non-profit scholarship foundation for young musicians.  Oversaw the arranging auditions, writing grants and press releases, securing funders, and organizing a year long concert series.
